Types of Trafficking
- Sex Trafficking: Involves the recruitment, transportation, or harboring of individuals through force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of engaging them in commercial sexual exploitation.
- Labor Trafficking: Involves the recruitment, transportation, or harboring of individuals for forced labor or services. Victims may be forced to work in industries such as agriculture, construction, domestic work, or factories.
- Child Trafficking: Involves the recruitment, transportation, or harboring of children for various forms of exploitation, including sexual exploitation, child labor, child soldiering, and forced begging.
- Forced Marriage: Involves the trafficking of individuals, often women and girls, for forced marriages, where they are subjected to physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.
- Organ Trafficking: Involves the illegal trade and transplant of organs, often obtained from vulnerable individuals through coercion or exploitation.
- Child Soldiering: Involves the recruitment and use of children in armed conflicts as soldiers, spies, messengers, or for other purposes.
